Need to cost... They price shoes based on what they think people will pay for them. They typically start high, and then reduce prices gradually as needed (e.g. unload overstock).
$60... What do you think they should cost? If you think you can make a similar quality, better-priced shoe and maintain a sustainable business, then you should probably do it and make millions/billions.
