Good as a backup phone, doesn't make you want to cut off your hands just by using it normally

Who still by 64g these days? If they could spend $20 more to make these phones 128G, it would have sold much more.

Blatant affiliate promotion. These phones are not worth this price and these have been scored at 30$ before.

The G Play is a very lagging phone, definitely not worth more than $30

This phone still has SD card reader so it's cheap to add a 512GB microSD.

You can often find this model on Tracfone deals for $30-60 though (unlocks after 2 months service). I bought a 2-pack via QVC for $100.

Bought one of these on Cyber Monday for $99 when my Pixel 6 Pro crapped out. Only planned on using it for about a week while I decided on something else, but I'm still using it 6 months later. Descent as a cheap backup while you wait for whatever you actually want to drop in price I guess.

Does that come with some compromises if you stick an SD card in? E.g. would certain apps refuse to use the SD card or does that SD card expansion function exactly as the internal SSD?

I use the SD card for photos and emulation. Also, mp3s, DRM-free epubs and such. That's really all I need the large storage for so the SD card works great as cheap expandable storage for my usage.

The SD card is treated differently from internal storage nowadays. I think you need to jump through hoops now to install apps on SD. Not really sure what other limitations there are for apps.

Sad. That's what I thought. It's sad OEMs still act as if SSD space were as expensive as it was 20 years ago, and charge 5-10x as much for it as the retail price.
