I dont think that a "nightstand" charger needs to be high wattage. However 30W is low unless you will only use it for charging a phone and maybe a watch or other lower powered devices.

It looks pretty classy with a faux wood finish.
Still, I definitely recommend this just for the portability and how subtle it is on the nightstand.
The status light is a very gentle white, so it's one of the few devices I haven't had to put a dimming sticker on.
You underestimate their ...ahem... viewing habits.
